Counselling
I am an integrative counsellor with many years of experience working with children and young people, adults and couples. I draw on different approaches in response to each client’s needs, and I view your wellbeing in a holistic way, paying attention to the many parts that make up who you are and what help you need to rebalance your world.
Supervision
I am a qualified supervisor, specialising in supporting people who work with children and young people. This includes counsellors, trainees and other professionals in the care and support field.
Experience
My career in health, welfare and social care spans almost 30 years, in hostels and specialist settings supporting children and young people with emotional, behavioural, trauma-related and neurodivergent differences. After qualifying as a counsellor, I set up a counselling service working with multiple agencies to take a trauma-informed approach, and was part of a therapeutic multi-disciplinary team supporting SEN settings in Plymouth. I have also worked with counselling agencies in Plymouth and the South Hams, and since November 2022 I have run my own private practice.
